Last Friday night as I downed a fifth absinthe shot I wondered how my intoxication levels were going to affect my work. I reached the conclusion that aslong as I didn't spew over those in attendance or on myself I should be fucking sweet.

My recollection of the evenings events are a tad hazy but the music was fucking rad and my roomate, who I let loose with my second camera brought it back in one piece.

All in all a productive nights work, edit is a tad grainy due to the bad lighting but it still looks pretty dope. Ill post it sooooonnnnnnnnnn

I just got my filthy paws on Marquis De Sades "120 days of Sodom" as well as a full book of Gustav Dores illustrations from Paradise lost and Dante's Inferno, who the fuck cares? says thee.

Well I do Dores illustrations make from some intersting scan-key frame- gradient wipe effects and De Sades novel helps with such horrfic images in my mind that I can pull them off, will upload a clip soon my lovelies xxxxx.

Been working on some fun stuff for forescene films lately, I havent got anything to show for it yet so Ill throw a fucking spanner in that and go way off track.

Im super stupidly sickly in love with this fucking movie, we have a canadian staying with us and I jumped at the chance to rape his snowboarding movies. Now Im not on to go on a rant about how fucking lame main stream cinema is today or how passe Americans audiences must be, but I saw a film the other day that quite frankly fucked me up it really really fucked me up.

I first saw Micheal Haneke's The Piano Teacher on SBS a year back, It was weird had freaky sex scenes in it and then the chick kills her self "usual SBS" I thought, though when I was recommended to watch Funny Games I had a renewed faith in art house cinema

Its an amazing film from a Cinematographers point of view. The scenes of anguish and self helpnessless drag out in real time which either sucks you into the reality of the situation or bores you to tears. The whole movie is a basic head fuck where, even as the audience you are roped into it by the main protagonist addressing the camera at certain points. I wont give to much away but definetly go and get this movie if not into thinking then you may feel as if the whole things a waste of strokes, however if your into strengthening your arts of manipulation and mind games then Funny Games is your fodder.
